Our association provides competitive and social netball opportunities for all participants who want to play, umpire or coach, and welcome all ages and levels of experience and ability.
Our association values friendship, community spirit, teamwork and respect to all members – from our volunteers to our umpires and parents.
Our Volunteers and Life Members are active and engaged members in our organisation, and we are grateful and thankful for their outstanding contributions to the development of netball with us. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to do what we do!
Our Association
Our History
Orange Netball Association began in 1942, the first competition was organised by Bill Knight, a teacher at Orange High School and Norma Rauchle, an ex student of Rural School.
At first the competition had 7 teams and by 1947 teams had grown so that there were A and B division.
Initially games were played on school courts but in 1947 two grass courts were established at National Park on the site of existing Olympic Swimming Pool. In 1954 four more courts were added at Matthews Park. We now have 8 outside courts with 2 more on the way and 4 inside courts at PCYC Seymour street.
We look forward to having you with us on your netball journey!
